One Year Blog Anniversary

In a couple days (December 7), I'll reach the one year mark on this blog. 102k views so far which is a good start for me. Before starting up this blog I had taken a 10 year break from the blog world.  I'm hoping 2022 brings a lot of exciting developments to the retro gaming world. When it comes to retro gaming and retro handhelds, we are living in the start of a golden era!

Games I'm Playing This Week

What I'm Playing This Week  I'm often bouncing around from device to device playing a wide array of games (retro and modern) each week.  It's been a bit of a busy week so far so haven't got a ton of games in.  I had planned on reviewing the RG351V that I ordered on the 7th but here we are 18 days later and I still don't have it.  It's apparently sitting at some distribution center in Kentucky now.  I think I'm done with anything that ends up in DHL's hands that's important.  They are the absolute worst.  For the most part, I'm playing Persona 5 Strikers on the Nintendo Switch each day.  That's a game I bought just because it was Persona but thought I wouldn't like it despite being a big fan of both Persona and Dynasty Warriors.  Surprisingly I actually love the game. I'm only 12 hours of gameplay in so have quite a ways to go.   The retro game I'm playing this week is Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire on the Nintendo 64 (N64).  The

Handheld Watchlist: Gameforce RK3326

Word on the street is that the Gameforce RK3326 should be appearing for sale at some point during the next 2 weeks.  Its definitely on my watchlist so I'm just waiting to see the price point. If money was no object I'd buy every handheld but unfortunately it definitely is an object at a certain point.  What really attracts me to the Gameforce is the aesthetic more than the specs. The specs are by no means overwhelming but 640x480 on an RK3326 system certainly makes it an option.  If the price is right I'll probably order one just for the looks. Most GBA-ish style consoles look terrible. This one looks great from the few images and videos I have seen.  Obscure Handhelds had a nice WRITE-UP on it a couple months back worth reading.
