Persona 5 Strikers Has Sold 1.3 Million Copies

It looks like Persona 5 Strikers is a success with gamers.  I enjoyed my first playthroygh of the game. It was shorter than I expected and completed my first playthrough in around 34 hours of gameplay.  My opinions of the game are somewhat mixed but mostly favorable. I originally thought the game would just end up being Dynasty Warriors with a Persona paint job but it really did become a game that can stand on its own apart from both.  I feel like it would have been a lot better had they retained more of the life-sim elements of Persona and mini-games. If I were reviewing the game (which I decided not to), I'd probably score it between a 7.5/10 or 8/10. A highly disappointing late change to the game was removing screen capture ability in the latest Switch update. That's not a huge deal but it is disappointing to remove a feature after selling the game. I took a lot of screen captures for the first 80% of the game and unwisely updated the software not realizing the u

Games I'm Playing This Week

What I'm Playing This Week  I'm often bouncing around from device to device playing a wide array of games (retro and modern) each week.  It's been a bit of a busy week so far so haven't got a ton of games in.  I had planned on reviewing the RG351V that I ordered on the 7th but here we are 18 days later and I still don't have it.  It's apparently sitting at some distribution center in Kentucky now.  I think I'm done with anything that ends up in DHL's hands that's important.  They are the absolute worst.  For the most part, I'm playing Persona 5 Strikers on the Nintendo Switch each day.  That's a game I bought just because it was Persona but thought I wouldn't like it despite being a big fan of both Persona and Dynasty Warriors.  Surprisingly I actually love the game. I'm only 12 hours of gameplay in so have quite a ways to go.   The retro game I'm playing this week is Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire on the Nintendo 64 (N64).  The

Persona 5 Strikers Early Impression (Nintendo Switch)

As a long time SMT / Persona fan,  there was no way i wasn't going to buy Persona 5 Strikers.  Strictly as a  musou genre game is definitely pretty good. I'm about 10 hours in and the game should have about 50+ hours of fun.   I can't help but think that I still would have preferred the sequel to P5 to still be the classic turn-based strategy RPG style with life sim elements though.  This could revolutionize how musou games are made as its done really well and with style.  Hopefully I've have enough free time over the next week or two to knock the game out and have a definitive opinion. It surprisingly plays well on the small screen but definitely better on a television with how busy the battles get.
