At the time of release, Castlevania Chronicles was considered to be "not modern enough" by many gamers and critics, but it was honestly a pretty great Castlevania entry regardless.  The game originally released on the original PlayStation in Japan on May 24, 2001. I actually really like this game on the go more than a home console game.
