Black Miyoo Mini Selling Fast

It looks like the Black Variant of the V2 Miyoo Mini is now sold out at the official store on AliExpress. At the moment, they have only 39 of the transparent blue left, 74 of the retro grey and 163 of the white left. I expect the transparent blue to be out by tomorrow. No word yet from Miyoo about when a restock is coming but I'm sure one is on the way.  Since releasing at the end of 2021, the Miyoo Mini's popularity has been drastically higher than anyone including Miyoo could have predicted... I'd still suggest waiting for a restock if you are interested in the Black shell. Most of the other places selling the Mini are just drop shipping them at a higher price.  Store Link Below (Disclosure: this link does not have any affiliate codes embedded and I don't benefit from any sales) US $58.00 | MIYOO MINI V2 Portable Retro Handheld Game Console 2.8Inch IPS HDScreen Video Game Consoles Linux System Classic Gaming Emulator https://a.aliexpress.com/_m0S3SUm My V1 Miyoo Mini

Miyoo Mini Still Sold Out at MIYOO Global Store on AliExpress (Initial Run)

It looks like the Miyoo Mini is out of stock from the manufacturer on AliExpress, but I'm being told the bigger stock is coming up on December 23 in a couple days. From everything I've seen so far on the Miyoo Mini, it could very well be the budget micro-handheld we've been looking for.  MIYOO Global Store: https://a.aliexpress.com/_msIDgbi There are some 3rd party sellers charging $64-$67 for the Miyoo Mini (Up From $52) on AE right now, but it would definitely be best to wait and see what happens with availability on Wednesday...  What Others Are Saying: https://obscurehandhelds.com/2021/11/the-tiny-miyoo-mini-with-its-even-tinier-bezels/ https://www.cnx-software.com/2021/12/03/portable-game-console-runs-retroarch-on-sigmastar-ssd202d-processor/ https://retrododo.com/miyoo-mini/

PowKiddy Q36 Mini Marketing Photos

The PowKiddy Q36 Mini came out the other day. On paper it's powerful enough to run "most" PS1 (PSX) games well and is on the tiny size of micro handhelds. $59.99 placing it firmly in the budget realm.  Using Open Dingux as the OS is really the only thing that makes this an interesting option considering we are currently in the middle of a wave of mostly Android handhelds.  US $59.99  30%OFF | POWKIDDY NEW Q36 Mini 1.5 Inch Ips Screen Open Source Handheld Game players Keychain Mini Console Children's Gifts https://a.aliexpress.com/_mLsE6vq Personally, I have no interest in this one at that price given that the size makes it's hard to use with big hands. PowKiddy is not known for build quality as well, so I  think you can do better for less money, but this is still a semi-interesting micro handheld option. From the video,  it doesn't look like a high quality build.  Here are the official marketing photos from PowKiddy:

PowKiddy Q20 Mini Review

It took about 3 weeks to receive the PowKiddy Q20 Mini from the official PowKiddy store but now have had a lot of extensive hands on time with it. I opted for the Orange model which I think looks a little better.  Overall 6.5/10 "BELOW Average" If you are looking for something very casual this might be an "ok" option but you'd better off buying something like the PowKiddy V90 or waiting for this one to drop a little in price. This handheld is not ergonomic at all for extended gaming sessions but not bad in short bursts. It's a decent option for 8-bit and 16-bit gaming. Out of the box I'd certainly recommend it for NeoGeo/Arcade gaming (horizontal games), SEGA Genesis, SMS, and PC Engine emulation. Anything else requires Custom Firmware (CFW) for a decent experience.  The Good   👍The same CFW options that work with the V90/Q90/PocketGo works with this one.  👍The screen is bright with good color
