Update:
I didn't realize "very soon" meant a few days but that appears to be the case.
Retroid Pocket 2.5
All signs are indicating that the Retroid Pocket 2.5 (DIY PCB Upgrade) will be up for sale very soon. If I had to guess, I'd still assume November but it could be anytime.
I reached out to GoRetroid and was told that the exact time/date of release was not certain yet but would be in the very near future.
Russ at Retrogamecorps.com noticed that a DIY section on their site recently appeared which is a sign they are nearing the launch.

What's interesting is that it looks like they'll be offering 3 replacement RP2 shell colors (grey/black/indigo), shell screws, replacement buttons (black/white), analog-sticks (black/white/blue) and more. This really falls in line with the DIY and modding spirit. With the existing RP2 you already have, this opens up the door to a lot of custom looks which we all love. I'm hoping they really set the industry standard here with offering DIY PCB upgrades for handhelds. This can help slow down how quickly Android devices become obsolete and in an affordable way for the gamer.
